O'Keeffe where it appeared Latopix drifted right taking the ground off Takenasred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Sam Ewing said he had gave a shout when Latopix drifted right and D.J. O'Keeffe corrected his horse immediately. D.J. O'Keeffe said he straightened his mount when he heard a shout. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards gave D.J. O'Keeffe the benefit of the doubt and took no further action.

Kevin Healy, rider of Fortunate Miss, trained by Simon Cavanagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped very novicey.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Fortunate Miss, ridden by Kevin Healy, and trained by Simon Cavanagh. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. Kevin Healy said his instructions were to drop her in, get her settled and jumping before trying to get her to run well. He further added she jumped poorly after losing her confidence at the first hurdle and never travelled throughout. He continued by saying from the last hurdle to the line she emptied and he felt she couldn't have finished any closer. Simon Cavanagh confirmed the instructions given adding he was satisfied with the ride. He outlined that his horses haven't been running well and the aim here was to try and get his charge to run well. He added he wanted her to have a good experience and was satisfied that she came home well. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that the animal was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that both Kevin Healy and Simon Kavanagh were in breach of Rule 212A(ii) in that the horse was not subject to a real, timely and substantial effort to achieve her best possible place. Having considered Kevin Healy's clean record in this regard, they suspended him for 14 racedays and ordered that he forfeit his riding fee. Having considered Simon Cavanagh's clean record in this regard, they fined him €3000 and in accordance with Rule 212A(d) they suspended Fortunate Miss from running for a period of 60 days.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference on the run to the second last involving Balko D'ange (FR), ridden by B. Hayes, placed second, and Le Moulin Rouge (FR), ridden by E. Staples, placed first, where it appeared Balko D'ange got tight for room after Le Moulin Rouge manoeuvred left. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B. Hayes said he was coming to join the leader and had plenty room before Le Moulin Rouge came left taking his ground. E. Staples said he had left room on his left as his horse goes left at his hurdles and he had not anticipated a horse coming on his inner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that E. Staples was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for three racedays.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Paul Nolan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Le Moulin Rouge (FR), placed first, as compared with its most recent run in Chepstow on the 9th of October. The trainer reported on that occasion he boiled over in the ring beforehand and then ran far too keen in the early stages of the race. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its contents.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Park Of Kings, trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed the start of this race and due to the lack of adequate camera footage were unable to take any further action.

Dunne said his filly was very difficult at the start and broke into a canter despite his best efforts. Mr. P.A. King said he did his best to keep his filly under control but she jumped into a canter.
